Happy new year ninjas
I wish good fortunes to you ninja for the new year. Have you made your new years resolution? I have! There will be lots of changes to the community to encourage dueling and membership. There will also be more focus on developing the story, missions and the graphics of story mode! Talking about graphics; I hope you like the new background! ... The biggest focus will be on growing our ninja community and having massive clan wars and other ninja fun. Weapons and armor are on the way and more cool items will be added. Over all we should have an excellent, exciting, and totally ninja year!
Start the new year with double XP
We are going to have a new years special! Double XP for missions for a few hours while it is midnight around the USA. It is going to start sometime tonight and end early next morning. No special enemies this time ... we could have killed off some mutant champagne bottles or something but that would just be silly. We are not silly here at dueling ninjas! Have fun!
Single use weapons update
All single use weapons such as spears, rocks, throwing stars, etc ... now use the regular attack logic... with a few exceptions :) ... in bot duels, the weapons work the same as a regular attack except the bot won't hit back. In ninja duels, you can still use weapons in hiding and they are still stealth weapons since they wont' show up in the attack logs.
I have also been adding new items. Right now what you get depends on your level but that will soon change. It will depend on the level of the enemy you kill, to off set that change, items will be more commonly given out.
Weapons and Items are live
A shiny new items system has gone live today! We now have single use weapons and single use items available. You can only get these when you request a mission and not all the time. You will get them after defeating an enemy and they will start showing up in your inventory. Right now we only have a few basic items but please suggest new things!
Secret tip: Single use weapons do not register as an attack so you can stealth attack with them.
Items are coming
I am pleased to announce that the development has begun on adding items to the game. We will have Potions and one time use weapons for start and later expand to weapons and armor. Potions will be for HP, XP, EP ... one time use weapons will be things like throwing stars and arrows. I hope this will be available in the next week or so but hopefully earlier.
Japan is saved from reindeer and snow men
Great job every one! You have saved our little ninja community from being run over by evil snow men and rabid reindeer! There were 43030 evil snow men killed and 15467 rabid rein deer.

We are under attack by snow men and reindeer!
The new Christmas specials are available! For low level ninjas, I heard there have been rain deer sightings in Toma village. For higher level players there are snowman in Toma village! These enemies yield a higher then usual XP payout and are just fun to kill. There is also double XP available for doing missions! Statistics will be published again at the end of the special! ... I heard the Christmas enemies will be retreating at midnight CST on Thursday.

New Story Mode Pictures
I updated the story mode pictures. Now there should be a fitting picture for each chapter in the story mode. As you progress through the story you will unlock new chapters with some awesome ninja pictures! If you have some better pictures you can always send them to dueling ninjas and we can vote on them. I hope you like them!
New Story Line
I have updated the names of all the places and added notes on the story line. I will be writing out the whole story in the next couple days. If you have some ideas how to make the story more colorful, please let me know! I will be updating the pictures for each chapter also. Next are the missions! ... if you have some good ideas for missions, please send them to me along with which chapter they should belong to ... if you also have a picture to use, that would be awesome! A lot of cool stuff coming up, I hope you Ninja will like it!
Rank editing and activity time
I added an interface for editing ranks. Just click the edit link right next to the rank name on the edit clan screen. You will also notice the new description field. I also added the ninjas last activity time to the ninja profile pages. Enjoy! ... and now you should go and give suggestions on mission chapters!
